Her·ze·go·vi·na AHD[hĕrt'sə-gō-vēʹnə, hûrt'-] D.J.[ˌhertsəgəʊˈviːnə, ˌhɜːt-]K.K.[ˌhɛrtsəgoˈvinə, ˌhɝt-]NONE(无词性)- A region of west-central Yugoslavia. Largely independent after the 10th century, it was conquered by Bosnia in the 14th century and has been closely allied with that region ever since.
